My times also killed are.

I never realized being a maniacal overlord could be so satisfying. I think the moment I truly understood was when I was sending a patsy I didn't like on a mission I knew he would fail simply so I could enjoy executing him even more for his failure.

Hire an Illustrator

I don't understand how you could put so much effort into programming and then spend 12 seconds drawing the "ball" character with your left hand while drunk. Side note, how do I get corporate sponsorship for the junk I turn out? Never mind, don't care.

Jiggmin responds:

I thought the ball character was bad enough that it would be obvious it was a joke...

Artwork

I honestly have always wondered what it would feel like to be a ninja leaping through the trees killing other ninja. The gameplay is kind-of pointless and repetitive, the graphics are a bit simplistic, but you got my [5] because of the feeling of flying through the trees, killing ninja.

DO NOT CHANGE THE GAMEPLAY!

Don't change a thing about the gameplay! The people complaning are NOT the people who gave you 5s and put you on the front page. People who voted 5 and didn't leave a comment loved the fact that SOMEONE posted a game that was CHALLENGING and FAST PACED. Whiney noobs are alergic to hard games, they want the "WIN" button to be placed in the center of the screen. Ignore them, DON'T YOU DARE SLOW IT DOWN.

Now for my complaints. Who's side is Bill on? He's killing the goombas, who are on the Koopa side, and he's knocking down the Koopa flag... but still his ultimate plan is to kill M&L?

Instead of goombas, you should have the powerup guys. Red and Green Shrooms, Power Flowers and Starman, or even Toads. Putting Starman in there as a target would be great, though the aforementioned noobs would probably wonder why killing him doesn't make you invincible. As for the flag at the end, you should be knocking down the one Mario raises in the castle after he yanks down the koopa flag.

Agree with previous reviewer

I love it for its simplicity, but it needs to get harder faster. There is an aversion to making hard games in a public forum like newgrounds, but those of us who appreciate it are out here.

What I'd like to see is a game where I don't get past level 3 the first time I play it, but persistance and practice will get me progressively farther. You basically spilled all your secrets at level three or so (tanks and choppers), and had nothing harder ever come at me besides MORE of those.

But griping aside, the simplicity of it with smooth style makes it worthy of the front page of NG. No go forth and CHALLENGE me.

Good start. Keep Improving, though.

You definitely put some work into this and it paid off. I'd like to see you work on your people-drawing skills. You've got some smooth animation, if you actually studied a fencing video the boy would have been a bit more realistic. Story's kinda dry but I'll give ya the fact that it's just chapter one. Looking forward to meeting the gruff axe weilding tank and the obligatory spellcasting chick.

Music and backgrounds were very nice. No complaints.

Good for an early work. Don't stop practicing.

Good concept, but repetitive

It's a good concept and the gameplay works pretty good, but if you upgrade right, you pretty much can go forever. In later levels I'm just poking the mini tanks to make them pop so I just started running into things cuz I was bored.

Maybe each level could have a boss fight, or maybe offer diffent types of weapons... old classics like the laser, the vulcan cannon... you know, dig up Tyrian again and rip them off like all the other cool kids are do.

Beautiful game, but...

People developing SWF games need to remember that large numbers of objects on the screen bogs even really good processers down. I get to the sequence with all the little +10 sparks and my good-but-not-able-to-play-Doom-III computer coughs and chokes.

Seriously, you guys should be licensing games for the DS or something, not wasting your time on SWFs. Go forth and sell out!

Ugh...

Really, just not a good game at all. The pace is awful, the gameplay is frustrating. My nice guy is kicking in and making me mention that the sound and image rips were okay, but this falls into the same category as those GBA games you can buy for $5 cuz they were either a terrible movie license or a game made by people who clearly don't play games.

Shoulda Been 8-bit

My only, and I mean ONLY complant about this game is that I wish I could be playing it with a good old 8-bit grey-box-with-red-buttons-and-a-plus-sign nintendo controler. Oh Gravis Gamepad, how we miss thee.

Thou shalt dig it.
